Physical Assembly Guide

Structural Logic of Hardware Assembly

Installing computer hardware requires methodical socket alignment, zero-force component seating, and clean power distribution before securing retention brackets.

Primary Power Delivery

Heatsink Tension Mounting

Lift the socket retention lever, align the corner indicator mark on the processor package, and seat the chip gently into place without pressing downward.

Retract slot latches, align the off-center key notch on the circuit board, and press firmly on both ends until retaining clips click closed.

Route the 24-pin motherboard harness and CPU auxiliary power leads, pushing connectors flush until plastic safety tabs engage firmly.

Apply thermal interface compound, align the cooler cold plate over the processor heat spreader, and tighten retaining screws in an alternating diagonal pattern.

Pre-Power Verification

Three Critical Checkpoints

01

Motherboard brass standoffs aligned

02

Auxiliary CPU power latch secured

03

Cooler bracket tension set evenly
